After ruling the golden age of Brighton's, now long-faded, club scene Russell Dust has used his skills, ear for a good tune and devastating performance technique to narrow down what makes a DJ great. Things like having super-looking hair, clean socks and the ability to whip up a tasty breakfast, from scratch, in under ten minutes. Skills like these have since fallen by the wayside for many of his peers, but there isn't a day that goes by without him wistfully reflecting on the good times he had and the hours he lost in those sweaty, smelly venues, where the people danced and his spirit soared. Like a bird... Probably a pigeon or something. Do they soar? OK, how about something majestic. A kestrel. Yes, indeed. His spirit soared like a kestrel. Just like the records he plays. It was all very wonderful. That said. Here's some mixes. Most of them are Booty/Nu-Skool Breaks. Pretty un-trendy now. But let's be honest for a second. Some of that contemporary minimal stuff is properly boring isn't it? Nightclubs used to be full of jumping grinning lunatics, not posey twats showing off their presumed wealth. Ring a bell when someone buys champagne if you really want to, but we'll be somewhere else, having a real party. Anyway... Spiel over... LIKE the mixes if you do. Shame on you if you don't. Peace out.X

For the past 15 years Scott Elliott formerly "DJ Segway" has been in the professional music scene, collaborating, creating, and DJing. In the late 80's when dance music came on the scene he had an intense desire to become part of the dance floor. DJing became his passion and it had lead him to several countries, the U.S. and Canada. His main residency though was in the beautiful Orlando, Florida. What sets him apart though is his distinct appreciation for the different genres of dance music. Dance, house, electro house, tech house, minimal, progressive house, chill, and the latest craze indie/nu disco. When you hear him mix it is a menagerie of what he feels the crowd wants and needs to satisfy their party and dance experience. He can read the crowd like no other. He segways into different genres of music to satisfy the tastes of all who come to the dance floor. By doing this he has set a trend that is hard to follow. His love for music can be heard on his monthly podcast Music is Medicinal. You can follow me on FaceBook also http://www.facebook.com/pages/Scott-Elliott/64788679789?sk=info

Received a House mixtape in 1988 and have been collecting House music ever since. In 1992 started working at the local radio station "Lokale Omroep Alphen aan den Rijn" (LOA). Had many shows there, amongst others the House show "Laserline", that name changed in 1996 to "Alphen Underground Beat" (AUB). This show ended in 1999. Bought Technics SL's in 1995. Hosted an 8 hour live broadcast in 1995 from the Cultural Youth Center (CJC) "het Kasteel" of the Houseparty "Dreamland", organized by "Midnight Madness", with Steve Cop and Lady Aïda. Also hosted the weekly House café night "Chill-Out Café" (also held at the CJC), adopted from party organisation "Midnight Madness", where local and regional DJ's performed live. Also started working at CJC "het Kasteel" and became resident DJ for "Midnight Madness". Organized the party "Love, Peace & Harmony" in 1997 with Godard (Waakzaamheid). Played at different locations in and around Alphen aan den Rijn and Amsterdam, amongst others at the "Catacomb Studio", up until 2001. The following years concentrated on mixing at home and collecting House records, period 1985 - 1997. Since 2008 got the taste back for visiting "Old Skool" parties, such as House Classics Festival "Wooferland". In 2010 came in touch with Facebook community "Huppels", from which the Old Skool organisation "Huppels Inc." (Huppels Included) was founded. This organisation held a DJ contest for the opportunity to play at the "Sugarfactory" Amsterdam, the first 4 DJ's on the list would get that chance. Came in 2nd. From that moment became resident DJ for "Huppels Inc." and played at many different parties, amongst others; "The Royal Queensday Party 2011" at Q-Park Amsterdam, "Platform Zero" at Panama, Amsterdam, "Sat.Is.Factory" at Sugarfactor, Amsterdam and as icing on the cake played a set at House Classics Festivals "Wooferland" and "The Promised Land Winter Circus". Additionally worked on different radio live streams like "Pickering FM", "DeFuse Records Radio Show" on "Pure Radio", "House Classics on sunday" on "db962" and a 2 hour set at the home of the organisators of "Wooferland", which was live streamed as "Wooferland Pre-party" All in all the "Huppels Inc." organisation excisted for a year and a half and went down as fast as it came. Currently still active as House Classics DJ in and around Amsterdam.

It all started back in 1990 with The Happy Mondays & Stone Roses. Rave was still underground & Illegal The sound was fresh. It all started when I listened to a mixtape a mate was listenin to he said have a listen to this. I soon started to search for pirate stations around my local area, MIX FM, FRESH FM (Leicester) & KOOL FM (Birmingham). Has I got more into the music I thought I would have a go at DJin so brought myself a pair of soundlab belt drives & a numark mixer & buy my vinyl from 5HQ. In 2009 I thought I would have a go at producin my own tracks. UNDER CONTRUCTION

Predominantly Breaks DJ who likes to dabble across all the genres to find that elusive Saturday night banker. Plied my trade playing Pop, Hip-Hop and Commercial Dance. Now, I play for love so play what I want to hear. Deep bass, breakbeats, nice vocals and great loops. House-mixes.com is a place to come for inspiration, listening to all these other great jocks out there with their own style, sounds and set building. Lovely stuff!
